Cycling
Even if you have not cycled for many years, you might consider it at Stari Grad. The traffic-free quayside that extends right around the inlet makes it easy. If you want to be more energetic, there are many marked cycle routes from the town which are described and mapped in a leaflet that is available from the tourist information office.
Routes range from the mainly flat and traffic-free rides to the beautiful village of Vrboska over the historic Stari Grad plain (which has been nominated for
World Heritage Site status) to secluded bathing spots, and for the most adventurous over the highly scenic old road to Hvar Town.
Walking
You can simply stroll around the town, or climb up to a shrine on the top of the hill behind the Villa. There are many tracks and paths which you can see in the cycling leaflet.
Hire a scooter
This has to be one of the favorite ways to spend a day and explore the Island.
